Wines of Chilli

| Aug 5, 2006

Recently accidentallyA I was introduced to the wines of Chilli. I was at a dinner party where the drinks were limited and the only one bottle of red on the kitchen countertop was a Cabernet from Chille. The lady who’d brought in did not knew much about wines, and was looking for an inexpensive wine… etc. etc… and she’d ended up buying a red from Chilli. I was truley surpized by the wine, hence the spark to dig into the wines of Chille, and I am now convinced that Chileans are producing world-class wines, especially the reds.

First and foremost is the quality of wine vs. the price. IMO, the best value in red wines of the world comes from Chille. The wines of Chille are definetly the best South American windes today. The major grapes grown in Chille are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Muscat. The main red varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Pais, and Merlot.

So try a bottle, and enjoy. Don’t forget to share!
