Underestimating Competitors

“We are losing market share because our competitors have gone mad. They’re basically giving their product away for free.” Yeah right … what a load of bologna. The truth of the matter is that your competitor had a better cost position or a better strategic rationale for what it did.

“What is wrong with me” That is the question you should be asking. Also, when you leapfrog, do you assume your competitor is sleeping? :-) Does the word “underestimate” come to mind at all?
