Looking back at personal computing, well, it has come a long way from being a part-time basement hobby to a multi-billion dollar industry. In the early days, software carried with it an aura of history in the making, of a revolution that would alter not only the business world, but the fabric of society as well. Today, network computing technologies such as client/server and Internet are revolutionizing the world of corporate computing and in the personal computer, we have found a new vehicle for the exchange of ideas and the formation of a global community.
