The Masters
I train at Grand Master Myung’s academy of martial arts. The school was founded in 1994 and has been ranked as the number one martial arts school in the York region.A
Master Myung is a 7th Dan WTF black belt. He is the VP of Ontario taekwondo association, vice-chairman ofA Canada tournament committee, and six times Canadian national team coach & trainer. He is the Ontario taekwondo team manager, the head coach for Ontario senior team and during his youngen days he was the formerA bodyguard for the Korean president. He’s got an impressive resume.
Master MyungA hasA three schools and spends couple of days per week at each school. I only see him on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rest of the time I work with Master Edward Fong who is the branch director for the school I go to. To be honest, although Master Myung is a phenominal instructor, and teaches you like noone else can, I prefer working with Master Fong. Master Fong pushes me hard and knows my limits.
Master Fong is a 4th Dan black belt and has been training with Mater Myung since he was 7 years old. He is in his early 30s, but this guy is purely a genius and holds many awards. Master Fong and I have become somewhat buddies and I am honoured to be learning from such great masters.
Now, was that good enough advertising for my academy?
