Starting Taekwondo

| Jul 17, 2005

I registered my little guy forA Taekwondo classes today. I saw an ad in the local paper andA since I’d always wanted him to learn martial arts, I went ahead and registered him.

Ever since I was a young lad, I lovedA martial arts. I have probably seen all of Bruce Lee’s movies couple of dozen time over. My son is not too big on this sport,A but I’m hoping the fire within me would ignite something in him.

I used to practiceA Karate when I was “much” younger. Never done Taekwondo though. It’s very much different that what I’d done in the past. Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing your spirit and life through training your body and mind. Well, most martial arts do this, but Taekwondo is a bit more strict in this regard.

So, I signed up too :-). Family class, here we come.
