A Look into Personalization

Personalization is the customization of an interface or functionality without any effort from the user directed towards customization.A Personalization makes the software more appealing to the user because the user feels important when the software appears to be written specifically for the individual through use of the user?_Ts personal information, and the user feels intelligent when the software automatically performs tasks based on the information of the specific user, making the user?_Ts job easier. This paper recommends that personalization be implemented into web services, and that Instone?_Ts personalization architecture be used as the backbone of the design.A Also, P3P should be used whenever personal information is acquired through a web browser, and all information should be stored in a database.
