And Now, The Language-Independent DataWindow Synchronization

| Jan 9, 1999

With Enterprise Application Studio 3.0 (EA Studio), you have been provided with the tools to easily extend your existing skills and investment in PowerBuilder to build robust, and scalable distributed applications. As PowerBuilder or PowerJ developers, you now have the power to write business logic in a development environment and language you already know, and then reuse that business logic across your enterprises from virtually any client or server application.

We?_Tve all used the datawindow before and we know how powerful of an object it is. Well, with the release of EA Studio 3.0, the datawindow is now available as a PowerBuilder object, as a JavaBean, and in pure HTML. You can now build a datawindow in one language, deploy it to a Jaguar server, and have access to it from another EA Studio tool. This means that we now have a language-independent datawindow. Along with this, the datawindow sycnhronization interface has also become language-independent. To give you an example, a PowerBuilder datastore deployed to Jaguar CTS, can apply changes made in a Java client to the database and vise versa.
